Perfectionist

This one is for all you perfectionists out there.

“It is only those who never do anything who never make mistakes.” Proverb

If you are one who periodically or regularly suffers from this muscle wrenching, rectal clenching syndrome, I have two words for you: IMPERFECT ACTION!

Sloppy success brings more joy and quicker results than perfect mediocrity.

Remember, when you don’t trust, you attempt to control. When I get like this, I usually ask myself, “What are you afraid of?”  Most of the time, I’m able to get down to the bottom it and let go.

When you feel yourself starting to tighten up (in your tummy, shoulders, brain, or yes, your anal sphincter muscles), you might also ask yourself, “Is it possible that this is good enough?”  “Will the effort I’m extending bring about a result that’s actually worth it?

In fact, try and just walk away.  You might have a moment of, “No, I can’t leave it like that!”  Notice what comes up.  If you loosen up a little in this area, you might notice other things in your life loosen up.

“To err is human,” and all that.  If you can’t let yourself err sometimes, or others, or others aren’t okay with your errs, it’s time to take inventory.

All good to you!

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning, the devil says, “Aw crap, She’s up!”

Be the kind of man that when you step out of the house each morning, the Goddess Athena purrs “Now that’s what I’m talking about!”

My intention with Pebbles for Thoughts is to empower and uplift, one post at a time.
